Norton and Malton is facing one of its largest issues with the proposals to axe the bus service between the towns.
The campain to save the service needs as much support as possible.
To many people the bus service is a lifeline to get them out of their homes to the shop, the hospital or doctors surgery.
The Norton on Derwent built form contines to grow apace as new housing developments sping up, putting more demand on services like the bus, rather than cutting such a service.
There is an average of 100 to 150 people using the bus service each days, thats 45,000 a year.
The consultation over the issue runs until November 25th.
Details are available online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/busconsultation; the councils customer service centre on 08458 727374, or by visiting the council libraries.
