The library is situated on Commercial Street in Norton on Derwent at the east end. The building is set back from the main road, just opposite the zebra crossing. There are two Coastliner bus stops very near to the entrance of the library.
There are at least 12 car parking spaces behind the library. The library has automatic doors and is accessible to wheelchairs.

Home library service
The home library service operates fortnightly from the library, serving Norton and the surrounding area.
There is a reading group which meets ten times a year, with tea and biscuits.
There is a storytime held every Tuesday afternoon between 2.15pm and 2.45pm during term-time.
