Every Tuesday during term time, at 2:15pm, Norton Library has a story time for 0-5 year old children. We meet up to listen to a story or two and join in a craft activity. The library opens at 2pm so there is chance to return books and choose some new ones, too!
It is a ‘drop-in’ style group- you can come as often as you are able to, and is completely free of charge. There are mums, dads and grandparents who bring children; everyone is welcome.
“My daughter really enjoys the story time. It’s a lovely group and has a great atmosphere! The craft activities are always fun; lots of glitter and sticking.” (a parent)
Last term we read books about the jungle and created a ‘hide and seek’ picture, used a story sack to look at different Australian animals, learned about different types of dinosaurs, as well as making model rockets and lots of glittery Christmas crafts.
This half term we are hoping to make peg dolls, use lots of paint and generally have fun as we enjoy reading and using our local library together.
If you look after a small child on a Tuesday afternoon, feel free to come and join us, it would be great to see you soon!
