Talented students from Malton School and Norton College are going head to head in a talent contest in aid of local charity Louby’s Lifeline Appeal.
Twelve acts will battle it out in Malton’s Milton Rooms on Friday April 26th at 7pm to raise money for research into treatment of brain tumours in young people.
Bands, singers, dancers, comedians and even a magician will take to the stage and face a panel of judges including star of the chart topping Helmsley band One Night Only, Daniel Parkin.
Organised by Mayor of Norton, Councillor Di Keal, the event is part of her charity of the year drive to raise money for Louby’s Lifeline.
Di said: “I have seen some of the acts who will be appearing from both schools and there are some amazingly talented young people appearing in the show which everyone will enjoy – it would be great to see the Milton Rooms full on the night and raise as much as we can for Louby’s Lifeline.”
The evening will be hosted by Pride of Malton and Norton, Bright Young Star, comedian Ryan Swain and will also feature guest spots from local singers Declan Gough and Liam White, plus a grand raffle.
Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Malton Library and from both schools straight after the Easter Holidays.
