Nestled in the residential area on the east side of Norton on Derwent is this popular and large public house. The Hyde Park public house has traded for many years as a free house and has been in the ownership of the Rice family for the past four years. The pub has two main trading areas, a large lounge bar with timber floored dance floor to the rear. The other bar is the pool room, with pool table, dart board and juke box. The bar serves a selection of beers, lagers, spirits, bottles and non alcoholic drinks and is part of Cask Marque award scheme for real ale served in pubs. There is also large screen TV.
There is live music on a Friday and Karaoke nights are Sunday nights. The pub has a mens pool team part of the Norton and Malton pool league and a ladies and mens darts team, part of the Malton and Norton darts league. There is a beer garden to the front and ample car parking to the rear for about 10 cars. The pub has raised considerable funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity over the years. Sue, Steve, Rebecca, Jennifer, Laura and team offer you a warm welcome.
